What is Remembrance Day?
Remembrance Day on 11 November is statutory in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. It is not a statutory employment-standards holiday in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba or Nova Scotia.
The day is also a federal general holiday, but federal coverage must not be mistaken for identical provincial coverage. The page lists the jurisdictions where general statutory status is supported.
The federal list does not automatically create the same entitlement for every provincially regulated worker, so excluded provinces are not added to this scope.
